Hello AEE !

This is the latest from our meeting on 2/4/08.

We have decided to build our synthesizer this semester. We are going to split up into teams. Check out what team you are most interested in, do some research and have your decision ready by monday. We're going to have 5 teams: Midi interface team, bus board team, Oscillators team, Filters team and effects team. These are some the characteristics of the synth : Chorus, reverb, vibrato, tremelo, we need low and high filters and overdrive.

On another note, Jakub is holding the Digital audio seminar. He will e-mail everyone with the date and time. If you feel like you want some specific topics to be adressed e-mail Jake. Also, he has been working on our website check out aeemsu.com/blog if you have any comments , things you think should be added or deleted e-mail jake as well. Jakub's e-mail is This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it

Snyder-Phillips has some pretty sweet rooms that we can hold some recordingin during the day for free or even rent them out for some shows at night. We are thinking of holding some sort of show soon, we will keep everyone updated.

Lastly, we are still considering the portable media idea so don't forget about that and keep researching. If you still think you don't have a good indea of what synthesizers do or how they're made Geoffrey posted some very good links on the forum , so check them out.

Next meeting will be Monday the 11th at 6:15 pm, we will email the room number soon.  If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact us.

Peace

Design Day Fall 2007

Audio Enthusiasts and Engineers are proud to present Revolution Audio in a new light and some new additions to it.   This semester we have joined forces with our new sponsors to enable us to build a high quality turntable, low noise RIAA phono stage, hand build a tube microphone, rebuild all the power amps, redesign the universal power supply and the preamp.   Revolution Audio is a one of a kind stereo system that allows options of source select, volume control and audio panning from an LCD touch screen on the preamp.   An audiophile type turntable and the phono stage is a brand new addition this semester to the Revolution Audio.  Also AEE has build an enclosure for a 24inch subwoofer that will compliment Revolution Audio for frequencies as low as 10Hz.   We could not have done this without the help from our great sponsors.  Our sponsors for this semester include Advanced Circuits, Microsoft, Electric Interconnect, Linear Systems and Neutrik USA Inc..

AEE will give 15 minute presentations on Friday December 7th from 9am to noon in the Union building in the MSU room.
